NEIGHBORHOOD

DOWNTOWN

Over the past decade, Little Rock’s downtown has undergone a revitalization, with more and more businesses and residents choosing to make this area their home.  Approximately 36,000 people come downtown each day to work at a variety of local, national, and international businesses, with companies such as Stephens Inc. and Heifer International headquartered here.

RIVERMARKET

Located in the heart of downtown, the River Market District is a mixed-use neighborhood along the banks of the Arkansas River.  This area draws residents and tourists alike to its restaurants, retail stores, art galleries, and entertainment venues.  Here you’ll find attractions such as the Clinton Presidential Center, Statehouse Convention Center, Robinson Auditorium Concert Hall, Historic Arkansas Museum, the Museum of Discovery, and Heifer International’s Global Village.

THE TROLLEY

You can visit Riverfront Park and stroll through its sculpture garden, and (in the warmer months) fresh fruits and veggies draw a crowd to the weekly farmer’s market held here.  If you tire of walking, you can jump on one of three replica vintage trolleys that have routes throughout the area.  Whether you want to eat, shop, or play, the River Market District has something for everyone.
